Keelboat Class

SEA STAR BASE GALVESTON

SAILING, THE SPORT THAT EXPANDS YOUR HORIZON

SSBG’S Basic Keelboat Class teaches students to responsibly skipper & crew a sailing keelboat in familiar waters in light to moderate wind and sea conditions.

KEELBOAT CERTIFICATION

SSBG’s Basic Keelboat class is a U.S. Sailing Basic Keelboat class designed for individuals for those who have little to no sailing experience or who simply want to have a refresher. Upon passing this course, you will receive your U.S. Sailing Basic Keelboat certification. This internationally recognized certification will allow you to bareboat charter keelboats up to 27-feet almost anywhere in the world. It will also allow members to use our sonars anytime the Base is open and they are not being used in a program.

If you are a SSBG member, completing the Basic Keelboat class will allow you to use our Sonars anytime the Base is open and when they are not being used in our sailing programs.

REGISTER TODAY

This is a three (3) day class, usually given over a weekend -Friday, Saturday, & Sunday.
